Bay is situated on the north-east coast of
Malta, less than ten kilometres north of
The beach in general
St. George's Bay beach is located deep
within a quite narrow and picturesque bay.
Until 2004 the beach was tiny, but a major
project was undertaken to import tonnes of
sand to the beach. The beach is now some 100
metres long, 20-25 metres wide and awarded
with the Blue Flag.
Beach facilities include sun beds, parasols,
showers and toilets.
Being the closest beach to Paceville, St.
Julian's and Sliema the beach can get very
crowded, especially in the afternoon when
language school students relax here after
Fine sand and very calm water, but limited
space for playing in the sand.
Different kind of water sports are offered
in the left hand side of the beach.
There are plenty of restaurants and cafés
close to the beach.
St. George's Bay resort
St. George's Bay is a rather small resort
with a some hotels, bars and restaurants.
The new Bay Street Shopping Complex is
situated close to the beach. Here you find
shops, restaurants, family entertainment and
even a four star hotel.
In St. George's Bay you will also find
Malta’s biggest bowling center and a cinema
complex with 16 screens.
