Ghajn Tuffieha Bay

Ghajn Tuffieha Bay is situated on the north-western coast of Malta, close to the town of Mgarr.

The beach
Ghajn Tuffieha Bay is a picturesque and unspoilt beach with fine reddish sand.

The beach is smaller than Golden Bay in the adjoining bay. Thanks to the more than 100 tiring steps down to the beach it is also less frenquented and more quiet than its neighbour.

The water is clear and quite shallow. However, undercurrents can be very strong when the sea is rough. Remember, never enter the water when the red flag is flying.

Beach services include sun beds, umbrellas and a small shop. No public toilets.

The beach is some times visited by nudists although nudism is not officially allowed.

Child friendliness
The beach itself is child friendly, but the access to the beach is not ideal for families with young children.

Water sports
No motorised water sports, but it is possible to hire pedalos. Furthermore, the bay is perfect for snorkelling.

Beach restaurants
None.

Resorts close to Ghajn Tuffieha Bay
